COPE guidelines
Research Misconduct
Vision International Scientific Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity. Any form of research misconduct is considered unacceptable and will be handled in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and Flowcharts.
The Journal does not tolerate, including but not limited to:
- Fabrication: Making up data, results, or research findings and presenting them as genuine.
- Falsification: Manipulating research materials, equipment, processes, data, or images in a way that misrepresents the research.
- Image Manipulation: Inappropriate enhancement, alteration, deletion, or selective modification of images, figures, or graphical data that may mislead readers regarding the original research.
- Paper Mills: Manuscripts produced, sold, or substantially prepared by commercial organizations or third parties that compromise the authenticity, authorship, or integrity of scholarly work.
- Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism: Presenting another person's work or one's previously published work without appropriate acknowledgement.
- Citation Manipulation: Artificially increasing citations or engaging in citation cartels.
- Undisclosed Conflicts of Interest: Failure to disclose financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the research or publication process.
When research misconduct is suspected, the Editor-in-Chief shall conduct a preliminary assessment and, where necessary, initiate an investigation in accordance with COPE guidelines. Depending on the outcome, the Journal may reject the manuscript, publish a correction or expression of concern, retract the article, notify the author's institution, or take any other appropriate editorial action.
