Language Policy

Language Policy

Sui Generis accepts manuscripts written exclusively in English. Submitted manuscripts are expected to meet academic standards in terms of grammar, spelling, clarity, terminology, and overall linguistic quality.

  • The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial linguistic assessment of each submitted manuscript during the editorial pre-review stage.
  • Manuscripts that are considered linguistically inadequate may be referred to the Language Editor for further evaluation.
  • The Language Editor reviews the manuscript and may prepare recommendations or a report requesting the author to revise the text in accordance with academic English standards.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are written in clear, fluent, and academically appropriate English before submission.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet the required language standards may be returned to the author for revision before being sent to peer review.
  • The assignment of the Language Editor is carried out by Sui Generis. The Language Editor is appointed for each relevant manuscript by the Editor-in-Chief.
  • The language review process is intended to improve clarity and readability and does not replace the author’s responsibility for the scientific content, legal analysis, citations, or originality of the manuscript.
