Author Guidelines

General Information

Sui Generis accepts original manuscripts in the field of legal sciences and interdisciplinary legal research. Manuscripts must be written exclusively in English and must not have been previously published or submitted to another journal.

All submissions must comply with the journal’s aims and scope, publication ethics, peer review policy, and formatting requirements.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the Sui Generis template. Authors should not change the basic structure, header, footer, or page layout of the template.

The manuscript should include:

  • Title of the article
  • Author name(s), affiliation, email, and ORCID
  • Abstract of 250–300 words
  • At least 3 keywords
  • Main text with clear numbered headings and subheadings
  • References
  • Appendices, if necessary

Formatting Rules

  • The manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • The main text must be written in Times New Roman, 11-point font.
  • Line spacing must be set to 1.5.
  • Italics should be used where necessary, rather than underlining, except for URLs.
  • Tables, figures, and illustrations must be placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • All submissions must be written exclusively in English.

Citation and References

Sui Generis uses the APA citation style. Authors must prepare both in-text citations and the reference list in accordance with the latest APA guidelines.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references are accurate, complete, and consistent. Manuscripts that do not comply with APA style may be returned for revision before peer review.

Ethics and Originality

Authors must submit original work and comply with academic ethics. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, improper authorship, fabricated references, and citation manipulation are not permitted.

Similarity reports may be checked through Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar plagiarism detection tools.

Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts using the official Sui Generis submission system and must ensure that all required information and files are complete at the time of submission.

Publication Charges

Sui Generis does not charge any submission or publication fees.
